Wonderful! The bokeh is so smooth and I love the twinkle in its eye.

This bird prefers to perch in the dark recesses under the rainforest's canopy. As such, it's a very tough subject to find and photograph well. I got lucky with this specific individual at Mt. Makiling when it allowed me to get very close. Even shooting wide open with the 500 f4 L IS, light was so low that I was forced to use ISO 800 and 1/20 sec. The clean, subtle background, the classic pose, the spot-on exposure, and the amazing detail obtained despite the low light allowed this capture to barge into my Top endemics gallery. Even the spider webs are a welcome enhancement!

This photo replaced that of the same species also previously taken at Mt. Makiling.

Another superb capture Romy. You're striking me with the settings you use. I presume you use a cable remote for shots at such focal lenght and shutter speed. That lens and Sigmonster simply are in a class of its own ! But the photographer makes a huge difference regardless.
