I have a few that peck at my window feeder. Love them, along with the little chickadees.

My daughter spotted one at our feeder this morning. We just got a foot of snow and it was sharing with all the other birds. This is the first we have noticed one. What a cute little bird!

I have about six or so of these birds that have been visiting my bird feeder for the past few days. I came here to figure out what kind of bird it was as they are curious little fellows that creep closer and closer trying to get a better look at me while sitting close to the feeder. They must like sunflower seeds as that's all I have - very adorable addition to watch!

What a wonderful resource. I've learned so much about the birds that I see because you made it easier to identify them. Thanks very much

We buried our doggie yesterday in a small area surrounded by the mountain laurel. I went to visit this morning and several of these little birds about attacked me, the excited chatter was extremely loud, too cute. They do love to visit the birdfeeder in the winter, albeit very territorial.

i found one of these on my back deck sitting near our windows. i thought it was injured as it let me pet it and then it sat in my hand for a minute, all the while petting it. then it finally flew off towards our trees. it was ok after all. mine had a little bit more pink on it's neck than the one in this picture. it's a beautiful little bird.

Location: Southern Maryland, Lusby. I have many of these in my yard, they adore peanuts and sunflower seeds. It's so much fun to watch them. They dislike Blue jays and attack them although only in numbers. When feeding near the squirrels they squeal with the alert sound of the squirrel keeping the squirrels on high alert. Funny adorable little birds. Love them.

I have a pair of these in my backyard that is just looney. I have two silver globe's mounted in cement flower pots. They sit as anchors on my brick wall. Everyday now for the past two weeks, the bird will sit atop, slide off, flutter back up atop slide off, flutter back up atop etc.....This starts at the crack of dawn, and continues till sunset.

Is this normal??????? Its really funny to watch, and you would think they would either wise up, or simply tire....but again....its all day long!!!!!!

We have a couple nesting on our back porch lightbulb. This is my first experience with them, but they are welcome!

This is the 1st bird that visited my birdfeeder 5 years ago. I thought it was baby blue-jay, lol. I have learned so much since then, and it is a never ending source of beauty and peace for me.

My husband and I spotted this little bird at our feeder one day and we had no idea what kind of bird it was so we had to go and check it out in our bird book. It's been a while now since we seen this bird, do they not stay around at one place long?

I love the clarity of your photos. I have just begun to experience the variety of birds that visit my suet feeder and my songbird seed feeder. I have a white breasted nuthatch and another kind of nuthatch that I don't see in your photo.

I spotted one of these at my bird feeder this morning and had to find out what it is. It's a rather handsome little bird that shares w/the chicadees, song sparrows, and cardinals.
