Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is located just south of Cambridge, Maryland on the eastern shore of Maryland. As a major stop on the Atlantic Flyway, Blackwater encompasses over 25,000 acres, comprised mostly of tidal marsh. At the Refuge, visitors will find a beautiful Visitor Center, a Wildlife Drive, four hiking trails, three paddling trails and miles of cycling roads.
Please take the time to visit their website at www.friendsofblackwater.org. During the year they maintain active Osprey and Bald Eagle webcams. Most of my photos were taken along the Wildlife Drive.
