Poor old David has had a day that’s quite high up the crappiness scale today – he’s had no leccy all day(am I glad I got out of THAT one), that meant no hot drinks, no hot food, no computer, phone, radio, TV or any of the other modern day aids to living that we seem to take completely for granted these days.

He’s been so bored, I’ve come home to a gleaming bathroom – and you’ve heard tale of my total lack of housekeeping skills before so I’m sure it won’t come as much of a shock when I say you could grow potatoes in our bath! So, he’s been doing a job that I would describe as truly heroic……and of course I am deeply grateful.

He’s traipsed on a reasonably lengthy round trip to collect me from the station – and if you’re seeing this as I post it then you’ll know I’m doing it at gone midnight, having only been in long enough to make a mess of his gleaming shiny bath before doing my PAD. We arrived here at 11.30pm!

Then, I fire up my PC and start to get cross – all of my desktop icons are in the wrong place (how DOES that happen?), Lightroom is telling me I need a new version – so I click on ‘oh alright then if you say so’ – DM has finally persuaded me that I can trust those messages and it starts to do all sorts of stuff I’m not sure how to deal with and he’s getting frustrated because I’m an idiot and I’m getting frustrated because he’s treating me like the idiot I am so before we know it we’re squabbling!

FYI – it’s alright for me to BE an idiot and to admit to it occasionally but it’s NOT OK for anyone else to tell me I am one! (Just in case you were wondering.)

Now to be frank, my day hasn’t been a great joy either for reasons of corporate whoredom that I must leave you to speculate on because discretion can sometimes be the better part of valour in business life. (Even for someone as compulsively gobby as me.)

BUT I am home now and I think it’s time for me to sign off and go and tell DM that he still rings my bell loud and clear – in case he’s in any doubt. See – the master of the crowbar strikes again – it’s easy when you put your mind to it.

As often seems to be the way, the pics I like are the ones other people least like if hits are anything to go by - the pic I took last year is one of my personal faves of the year, yet it has had fewer hits than some of the ones I've shot in the last couple of weeks!
