This is a gift from David that’s been waiting to be photographed for a couple of weeks since he gave it to me on the beach while we were out with Iain and Becky.
My Mum came into the kitchen while I was doing my most unprofessional photographer, lazy so-and-so thing of not going to the studio to shoot the thing properly but sticking it on the table and lighting it with a torch and acted as ‘lighting engineer’ switching on and off the overhead light while I worked. I think she thought I was dotty shooting a stone on the table, but I got what I wanted.
It was only later she saw the heart and asked David if it was a valentine gift – to which he replied ‘no, it was just BECAUSE’……..ahhhhhhh – he made my day.
I don’t think it’s too bad considering I have travelled four hundred miles today – a hundred from London north to meet with a client, then three hundred back home again to my family – not just DM and the dogs but my folks too who are here for the weekend after spending a week with my little sis in Devon. All of this with the hangover from hell after last night’s wake.
I love my solid as a rock heart, which I think deserves the title ‘stoned love’ nicely.
Last year, I was having a much less stressful time at the Carnglaze Cavern, with DM, Colin, Becks, Iain, Alan and Dee watching Sam Brown......that WAS a cool night.
