I am now the proud owner of this orchid, given to me by DMs folks today. I don’t think I have ever owned an orchid before so in my life at least, it is rare, even though I do think they seem to be ‘this year’s thing’ in terms of seeing them for sale in florists and other flower-selling outlets. Whether this year’s thing or no, they are really beautiful and this is no exception.

It’s pink too, which is, of course, precisely ‘my territory’ in terms of colour so thanks for such a nice gift, clearly bought with care.

However, I have not, as you can see, done it or me or anything else to do with this photo any justice at all. It is, after all, nothing more than a pedestrian shot, taken on the hoof.

So, Linda strikes again.
