I am starting to gather up all of the bits that will turn a sanitised, newly painted room into our love-nest and these cushions are one of my first purchases in pursuit of that goal. They’re Trago’s finest and will bring the colours of the room together nicely.
I can’t wait for Friday when I’ll be able to start building.
Photographically, this is one of my tutor’s tricks from the course I did recently. Light the shot, add in a light on your background that’s tungsten based and expose for 1 second…..result, well-lit foreground and warm tones on the background. I have used it a lot since doing the course.
Emotionally these cushions are not just cushions, they’re the start of the new. They’re a bit of luxury for us at the start of our new journey towards something closer to (but we never expect to be fully there) self-sufficiency. I love the fabrics and things that surround me to be deliciously tactile. These are just that. The tapestry fabric of the cushions is smooth, the tassels are silky and the filling is soft. Heaven. The colours work together with the other soft furnishings and the main colour theme really well for me.
So tassels, beads, coloured glass, brass and wood are all being hoarded and kept to be part of this space……Yum!
My poor folks have spent part of today watching me paint – I don’t expect that was terribly thrilling for them but it has been a big help to me – thanks Mum and Dad.
Last year, we were at Eden...... this year we tried but it was closed!
