….while catwoman waves from the ocean.

We’ve been helping Ewan, who is being ‘wiped out’ in this shot to celebrate his 30th birthday. He’s keeping up a tradition among his friends, whereby every time one gets to 30 they take over the youth hostel at Perranporth and spend the weekend surfing and partying.

So, Matt and Darren have done this before him and now it’s his turn.

The Atlantic Ocean has drawn 20 of his friends to help him celebrate and most of them are in the water with him as we (DM and I) patrol the shore with our cameras. Even though the weather hasn’t been ‘great’ for photography, I’ve managed OK with my hand-held 400mm lens (well, a 200mm with a 2xconverter), despite being exhausted from carrying it and holding it up, I’ve got some shots that are not shaken to hell and back!

Ewan’s beautiful and talented girlfriend is the pic’s Catwoman – what’s even nicer to report is that she’s got an absolutely lovely personality to go with all of her physical and cerebral charms so I am happy that at last Ewan has a girlfriend who deserves him – they really do make a fabulous couple.

We’ve spent a happy day on the beach with the dogs and our friends. We didn’t even have to go from the sand at lunchtime to eat, as the pub we ate in was on the beach too! How cool is that?
