An opportunistic pic of the day today. I drove to the office for once (David forgot to get up to take me to the station) and was really glad I had when I sailed through the traffic and got to work early (that doesn't happen very often). It rained all day so I felt equally relieved to be going home in the dry, comfortable surroundings of my own car rather than walking to the station and waiting for a train in the rain.
That's where the good news stops. The M25 was gridlocked - first weekend of school summer holidays - 25 miles of stationery traffic in the direction of home! Luckily I saw the jam before getting onto the road and managed to take avoidance measures and get home reasonably quickly anyway - whooppee!
When I pulled into the drive this little critter caught my eye sitting on my back window. I chased him round the car a few times before he stopped long enough for me to get a shot in - he kept moving so fast I couldn't get the focus to work. Anyway - here he is, in all his glory, sitting on my luggage rail.
So, no oversleeping David, no car journey, no grasshopper, no photo!
