What a day of ups and downs....

First Wheels Day at Brooklands - look out tomorrow for more pics of that! Then on to my beloved White Hart Lane to see Spurs get beaten 2-0 by Man City. I was furious that the team didn't seem to care that they were letting the fans down by not trying. Sarah and I left before the end we were so angry.

This lovely chrome front of a VW bus symbolises something though. Before I met David I always loved classic/custom cars, indeed I was a regular at the Chelsea Cruise in the late '70s. I never owned a classic car of my own but always had a hankering for a Cresta. I never, though, had the slightest even fleeting interest in VWs generally (excepting the gorgeous Karmann Ghia) so to find myself in front of a bus photographing it came as something of a shock. Strange what being involved with someone who lives and breathes VWs day in day out does to you. You eventually end up liking the strange beasts. David - when you read this don't get any ideas of me camping in the bus though - that's still definitely OUT of the question.
