Tajectories intersecting in your view finder, without intersecting beyond the seen i.e. in real life. Busy workers heading to office, homeless, or drivers, each has a goal, and interesects with the other just if they disrupt the current task.

on one hand a busy raod and a still life on the street side on the other.what a way to say,it´s all a part of life out here.images with lot of meaning, that´s what i see in your work AL.

Your photography moves onto an entirely different plane with this image. Instead of describing the streets of India, you are interpreting them here. By juxtaposing the street person in the mirror with the daily life that swirls around beyond the windshield, you isolate him and stress him through his vivid coloration vs the flat colors through the windshield. You also intensify the chaotic nature of India's urban life itself by superimposing the rearview mirror scene upon the windshield view. You are at your best when you abstract, Ai Li, and this image reduces the world of the street person to a mere slice of the "real" world we see through the windshield. The street person becomes an afterthought, yet a very vivid one at that. A hauntingly expressive image!

Indeed, I feel the void as well. You go far to help alleviate the wait for Kal's return with this Ai Li. The combination of urban chaos and heartwrenching homelessness is striking.

This seems to summarise urban India very well. The nature of the traffic and the rest needed in the heat and hubub.
Ar, I miss that work too ;-)

I love the contrast between the "peaceful" atmosphere for a rest in the clothes shop and the rush of the live in the street!
Very strong one!

It's a man lying down outside a clothes shop (or it's wash day at his house). What a great capture - superb congruity and the people in the foreground and the man in the mirror are all in focus and well exposed. A very difficult shot well done.

Amazing image, especially the colour difference between the mirror and the street. I can't really figure out though, what we see in the mirror. Is it a bus?
