Birds of a feather may flock together but migration produces some strange combinations.
Here, two day-active birds perch side-by-side, 65 feet above ground, in the pre-dawn hours of a foggy, late May morning.
The SPOTTED SANDPIPER is at home at the shoreline. The OVENBIRD is a creature of the forest floor.
