You're right Peter, there is a lot of flash wash out.I was trying to capture the scope of the scene, rather than individual birds. Nonetheless, there is enough clues to ID that fellow as a LINCOLN'S SPARROW.
I'll be posting more migration shots over the next few days, mostly from this spring. There will be Lincoln's among those photos, too, but much better quality.

I'm curions about the bird on the far right, closest to the camera - the face pattern is very strong, and there seem a lot of rufous in the wings - can you i.d. it, based what was around that night? I can't tell if there is breast streaking that has just been washed out by the flash, but if there isn't, then there go most of my likely candidates...
