WERELD VROUWEN MARS - MARCHE MONDIALE DES FEMMES - WORLD MARCH OF WOMEN

On March 6 the Belgian Women's World March celebrated the 100th International Women's Day.
5000 women and men marched through the streets of Brussels in a festuve and militant march. The slogans: "sol, sol, sol solidarity with women worldwide" and "beware, beware women on the march". We walked with the drums of Famba, a lesbian feminist drumgroup, to call for justice, equality, peace and solidarity. Belgium is one of the 164 countries worldwide who stand up together for freedom, for the right to economic independence, against violence against women within the family as well as in wars as in Congo-Kivu, for peace and demilitarization, for food sovereignty . The march ended at the Justice Palace, where several ministers and parliamentarians were given the manifest of the World Women's March.

De wereldvrouwenmars vierde op 6 maart de 100ste Internationale Vrouwendag.
5000 vrouwen en mannen stapten door de straten van Brussel in een feestelijk en strijdvaardige mars. De slogans :”sol, sol, sol solidariteit met de vrouwen wereldwijd” en “pas op, pas op de vrouwen zijn op trot” klonken samen met de trommels van Famba (de lesbisch feministisch drumgroep uit Gent) in één grote kreet om een wereld met rechtvaardigheid, gelijkheid, vrede en solidariteit. België is één van de 164 landen die overal in de wereld, over de grenzen heen opkomen voor vrijheid, voor recht op economische onafhankelijkheid, tegen het geweld op vrouwen zowel intrafamiliaal als in oorlogssituaties zoals in Kivu-Congo; voor vrede en demilitarisering, voor voedselsouvereiniteit.
De mars werd afgesloten in het Justitie Paleis, waar verschillende ministers en parlementairen de eisen van de wereldvrouwenmars in ontvangst namen.
