the openingswords were spoken by Suchitra Vedantam (Mahila Samkhya, Karnataka); Nelia Sancho (Asian Women's Human Rights Council, Philippines and coordinator of South East Asia's first "Women’s Court" on trafficking and HIV) and Rev. Dr. Augustine Thottakara (CMI, Chancellor of Christ University).

Mallika Sarabhai (Darpana Academy of Performing Arts, Ahmedabad) gave then a 15 minutes performance. An innovative and sensitive portrayal of the "four kerala sisters who committed suicide" as a portest and not as cop-outs as Mallika put is.
