The "Zaanse Schans" (The Netherlands)

De Zaanse schans is located alongside the Zaan river near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It contains several windmills and old wooden houses that stood once in the neighbourhood. Some have always been there while others were brought from elsewere. It is a kind of open air museum that attracts lots of people from around the world. After the tourbusses have gone, it is a very tranquil place to walk around.
