Hand sewn jacket lining. You can see the waist stay and the snaps on the lapel on the left which close the jacket. This lining began with rectangles which were trimmed while sewn to shape on the jacket. The center back pleat is quite deep, and there are no darts in the lining though there are 3 on each side of the jacket itself. It feels quite luxurious to wear, and there is no pulling or feeling of anything but ease of wearing. I did not iron the lining before taking these photos, and you can see how it's shaped to the body, and where the waist is pulled in by the belt worn over the jacket.
