Hi Lisa, in your street photography do you ask the subject ot just snap away, or adapt to the conditions of each shot? I ask cos recently I tried to take a shot of a splendidly tattooed punk but he objected and I let it go.

This gallery is superb, Lisa -- you have a wonderful eye for nuance and gesture, subject and context, expression and timing. Of all of them, "Smoke" is my favorite -- the figure out of the distant past serenely exhaling is wonderfully incongruent and very rich in human values. The joy of the violinist, the gravity defying exploits of the skateboarders, the bizarre girl with the orange and brown face, are memorable images as well -- all of them rich in human values. The shot of the man in the hot tub uses incongruity in context and scale effectively. You care about these people -- it shows in your work. Thanks for sharing these with us, Lisa.
