Chris, Thank you. Isn't Paris the greatest place? I used a wide angle lens the whole trip. I would have missed some awesome shots without it. I now have the CP5000 and the wide angle lens is even better.
I use a number of programs and tutorials for my images. Check out this forum: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=110 You can find most of the programs and links that I used. I am lglogan so feel free to message me through the forum for any information. I would happy to help.

Fantastic set of pictures!!! My wife and I visited Paris in November 2001 and brought back a set of very boring 35mm shots from a Minolta Zoom point-and-shoot. It was our desire to get better cityscapes that has led us to hunt for a digital camera, and to the dpreview site. We have been thinking about the Canon G2, the Nikon 995 or CP5000- a major issue is having a degree of wide angle, to capture some of those city vistas...
Technical question, Linda: A number of your pictures were altered to look like pen & ink, or oil paintings. What program enabled you to do this? We have an older model computer with 366 AMD processor, but lots of RAM- would it have enough computer power to do these tricks? Thanks
