I am only repeating what so many have already told you: great pictures.
I am struck by the pictures of Petra. Having just visited Turkey and Cappadokia, the landscape and hellinistic remnants
seem similar and better preserved. As you said on the phone, Egypt stands out by how much still stands. (less earthquakes? and less 'recycling' of the pieces from earlier periods?)

Marvellous; I was there 20 years ago and your photos have brought it all to life for me again. Particularly love the photo of Jasmine the Druze child, the circle on the wall behind her looks like a halo. Thanks for sharing this with us.
