This shot was taken Monday at Lake Coeur d’Alene in North Idaho. I was there photographing eagles when, on the other side of the bay, one eagle knocked another eagle out of the sky and into the water. While the eagle in the water swam toward the shore using its wings, the other one kept attacking. The bird had to roll onto its back to protect itself with outstretched talons. The eagle did finally make it to the shore.
