Here’s my entry, shot with a Nikon AF-S 35/1.4G on a D800 against a glaring contra light at f/16, 6 seconds, focus at 30cm. You can see some parts of the room I did this test-shot in but the most interesting thing is that you can clearly see the aperture-blades inside the lens and their grain-like texture! I used some curves in post-processing to make them stand out but I can assure you that I could see the blades even with normal processing. Shot was taking during testing the Sigma 35/1.4 and comparing it to the Nikon for my Camera Labs review here. I could also reproduce the effect on the Sigma but it was less pronounced than on the Nikon.
I’ve NEVER EVER seen something like this before so I hope it qualifies for “Uber-Geek”.
If I win in this category I promise that I will not claim the price: taking the aperture blades out ;-)
