PhaseOne IQ260

This image is a sham. It may look like a very boring shot taken with a very fancy medium format camera, but it is actually a practical joke played on a friend of mine. The truth is, it was created with a 6 megapixel SLR and a Samyang 85mm f/1.4 lens, shot at f/5.6. The process is simple: shoot a bunch of images on a tripod, and stitch them with the panoramic tool of your choice. Then, you need to do some research: to make this fake as convincing as possible, I went to the PhaseOne website, picked a model (IQ260), and made sure the pixel dimensions of my image are the same as you'd get with the real thing. Then, I downloaded a full-size sample taken with a real PhaseOne, and copied all the metadata into my image, just in case someone wanted to check. Finally, I made sure to resave the image using a photo processor, as "Program Name: Microsoft ICE" would've been a dead giveaway to the photo's true origin. Of course the best part was that it worked perfectly, and fooled my friend with no problem
