This was taken with a second-to-last-version of the Nikkor
500mm f8 mirror lens adapted to a Panasonic G5 MFT body,
hand-held at 1000mm (35mm full-frame equivalent), the best
of many tries. The subject was Cornell University, shot
across a valley from one hill to the other. About two miles
separated me from the subject, and heat-wave effects are
visible on some straight edges when viewed at 100%. I'm an
admitted "sharpness-nut", and I continue to be surprised at
what can be produced with the MFT format with some work
done on the images (16.5"x22" *image-area* prints are
possible that are SHARP if the whole original image
resolution can be used - and it can, with all of my MFT
lenses). The "fixed" image here, though, "maxed-out" at
a reduced (1920x1440) resolution for good final quality.
