When it comes to sharp corners, very few consumer lenses can make the claim that it's sharp corner to corner, but it's a relatively common for most enlarging lenses to have very sharp optics from corner to corner. The attached pictures was made by the Rodenstock Rogonar-S 90mm f4.5 enlarging lens on a Canon 5D Classic full frame camera. The aperture was set to around f8 or f11 and the corner sharpness is phenomenon. The lens was glued onto a filter ring and screwed on a Yashica 50mm f1.9 lens barrel, and mounted on the 5D through a cheap Y/C to EOS adapter. You can imagine how bad the precision of alignment must be and yet the picture suffers little.
