Longyearbyen is the largest settlement of Svalbard – an archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, constituting the northernmost part of Norway. The town had a population of over 2,000. It is the world’s northernmost town, and the northernmost settlement of any kind with greater than 1,000 permanent residents. It is also known for its colorful houses

What a great photograph of this remote place! I love the colors here as well as the diagonal composition and the sharp snow lines to capture the textures. Looks cold! But I bet these homes are pretty cozy!
