Doug is retired military photojournalist, graduated from Syracuse University’s Navy Program in Photojournalism and has won many photographic awards include the prestigious Navy Photojournalist of the Year and Honorable Mention Military Photographer of the Year. Recently he won 2nd Place News Photo MPPA Monthly Clip Contest for January 2005, 3rd Place Sports Action Picture in the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar 2004 and his photographs have been selected for MSNBC Week in Pictures, Washington Post’s Camera Works, Day in Photos and San Francisco Chronicle’s Day in Pictures. In addition he won 3 NM APME awards for 2002, 3rd Place News Photo for NPPA’s April 2002 regional (Region 8) clip contest.
