Mingus Mountain Top

Mingus Mountain overlooks Cottonwood, Arizona as well as neigboring towns Jerome and Clarkdale and a good bit of the Verde Valley. We were approximately 7700 feet above sea level looking down approximately 4300 feet to Cottonwood. We ate lunch at the Jerome Grand Hotel on our way back down.

I went through Mingus Mountain about 35 years ago with my brother and sister-in-law. My maiden name is Mingus and I was taken away by some of the breathtaking scenic views. We also stopped at a restaurant/hotel and met the owners. Would anyone have more information on Mingus Mountain? I would like to know who was the founder of this mountain and any updates that have been done. Thank You!!!

Mingus Mountain really taught me who i am, and what my purpose is. which is to annoy everyone. and i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee mingus mountain!

Mingus Mountain Camp has been a part of my family for many years. I can't think of a more beautiful place to bring my family. It is a perfect place to recharge your Christian batteries!! There is definately something extra special about Mingus Mountain!! Chris, Brandon and Dewayne are all the greatest!!

Thanks for sharing the views of Mingus... My family managed Camp Mingus in the 1960s and 1980s. A great place to grow up!
