Hoi An

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999
Hoi An, which means "a peaceful life union", is one of the loveliest cities in Vietnam, easily traversed on foot.
Hoi An's charm is its historic buildings whose architecture was heavily influenced by immigrants from Japan and China and, of course, French colonialism. Numerous Chinese-style community centers and churches dot the city.
