Louise,

Thanks for the comment on my Painting with Light gallery. You are off to a good start here, but my technique is different. I'm using the light to 'backlight' my subject and the light source itself becomes a part of the image. In each of mine, I have used a flash light with paper towels wrapped over the end to diffuse and weaken the light... I wave that light around behind my subject and point it towards the camera...
