Our main vacation in 2016 was my #1 bucket list place: seeing many national parks (NP) and provincial (state) parks (PP) in the Alberta and a bit in British Columbia provinces. Our vacation was 12 days long and we flew into/out of Calgary and rented a car. When we returned our car we discovered we'd driven over 1,800 miles in it! (we had no idea we did THAT much driving!) In all we saw 5 national parks and about 8-10 provincial parks. Every day we were out & about in nature; rain or shine (and half our days ended up having light, off & on again, rain). We stayed in five different private vacation rentals, and all but one had the owners living on the main floor while we rented their vacation apt down below in their a walk-out basement. Three places we stayed 2 nights each; another 4 nights and the remaining one only one night. We spaced our lodging locations around to make it easier to access nearby national and provincial parks. My husband enjoys reading all the interpretive signs; I don't but took photos to help remind him and also educate anyone looking through my galleries of this vacation. Most of Canada's (yellow) caution sign silhouettes looked different than ours in Texas, so I also took pictures of them, including them not only in the gallery that showed that area but also a gallery all their own. The ONLY editing I did to just a few photos was to crop out a bit of the borders (i.e., if I was in the passenger seat and taking a photo that looked out the driver's window, I would crop out the window edging and my husband's face.) Other than that, I did NOT use any type of photo-shopping or enhancing of any kind.
