First runners come through Furnace Creek. Ferg Hawke #2 is last year's 2nd place finisher.

In 2004, Ferg was a rookie Badwater runner and finished just 7 minutes behind Dean Karnazes, first place. Ferg will go on to finish in 26:33, 2nd place again!
