Message from Matt Latham
Originally from North Wales, I have been living in Lincoln, England, with my fiancee for over 5 years. During the week I'm a Project Manager for an Environmental Consultancy, which means my time for photography is limited and, therefore, even more precious to me.
I have been interested in wildlife, particularly birds, for over 25 years and am fortunate that the hobby has taken me around the world. However, I have only been interested in photography for about the last 3 years and often think back to those potential images which I could have captured if only I was interested in photography at that time.
Photography has enabled me to look at wildlife in a new refreshing light and trying to capture an image which comprises a mix of detail, context of the subject's environment and importantly, an image I think people will enjoy looking at, is a big motivation.
Please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you!
For those who are interested, my current equipment includes:
* Canon 40D
* Canon 300mm F2.8 L Lens
* Canon 1.4x II Converter
* Canon 2.0x II Converter
* Tamron 90mm DI Macro Lens
* Epson P-3000 Storage Device
For me, photography is purely a hobby to unwind, however, to date I am please that some of my work has been published in national magazines and publications for several organisations, including:
* BBC Wildlife Magazine
* Birding World
* Birdwatch
* Birding North West
* East Riding Council
* Kent Wildlife Trust
* Essex Wildlife Trust
* Birdwatch Ireland
