Prescott Culture Christmas

Between 900 and 1200 AD the prehistoric Prescott Culture marked the Christmas holiday and its archaeo-astronomical significance with what is known as a Horizon Calendar. These are shots collected over three years of Winter Solstice dawns 'waiting for the sun' (Think Jim Morrison, if you want). The butte serves as a horizon marker and the shaman perch where I sit is market by unpronounceable sigils. Only from this rock can the calendar be interpreted.
