This is Shari from St Therese.
I'm wondering what you would charge to do a head shot of me? It doesn't have to be anything formal but it would have to be fairly soon.
I won an architectural award that will be announced on Jan 20th and it would be really nice to have a decent picture of myself since I will probably need one then.
Wishing you all the best in the new year.
hi charls,nice site 2stay
hello Charles, thanx for stoping by and commenting
Charlie...your work is very diverse and interesting. Some of my favorites are: Droplets on a Web, Lincoln Penny, Foggy Night, Clock Series and Squall Line. Your work is just wonderful.
Thanks Myra. As far as I know, the red tides aren't predictable like regular tides. If the water near the beach looks red during the day, that's probably it. Usually there will be something in the local news media. And, you don't have to be an old person to do photography!
If you happen to know the exact dates of the Red Tides, let me know!
I am young and am finding what i like to do. looking at your pictures are amazing!!! i wishi could do that someday!
Hi. I read your verse in the comment section of Michael Shpuntov's, Spooky House On the Highway. Wow. Nice work. I have always wanted to have the gift of a literary tongue. That is why I enjoyed reading yours so much. How creative of you to compose prose on a stranger's photograph.
Will come back & browse your Galleries.
I love what you capture in your photos. I feel the warmth of your Thanksgiving :-)
Hi C. Lasnier,
Thanks for visiting my site and appreciating my ice/icicle images.
I looked through a sampling of your work - you have a wonderful variety
of subject matter which has been captured superbly!
Hope to have another reciprocal visit in the near future.
Sincerely - Tom Bailey
Thanks for your comment on my photo of the sunrise over Manhattan. Nicest part was that it lead me to your photos, many of which are truly spectacular.
Thank you for the commenting on my White-cheeked female Gibbon image. All comments are appreciated.
Your comment that the colors were great is really a nice complement.
I had the deepest of shadows and blown highlights and tried to do what I could in RAW processing. The real problem came when I reduced the pic to 800 pixels for PBase posting. I was constantly getting jpeg compression artifacts on the blue paint.
Very difficult processing for me anyway.
Merci de ta visite et de tes commentaires, j'aime beaucoup ton travail et je reviendrai régulièrement visiter tes galeries, à bientôt...
Thank you for sharing your photos. Your pictures are always the best from our Holiday Parties! I love the portrait shots you have of various people! They are amazing! Thanks for sharing your link so I can view your other work!
thank you for visiting my Oh Snow gallery and commenting it so nicely - it is quite a refreshing place on a warm summer day! I appreciate your photos!
Pure display of talent.

Stellar job! Can I get your signature?
Hi Charles. Thanks for visiting and commenting. :)

Thank you, Charles, for your encouragilng remarks on our Minnesota/Wisconsin Landscape gallery back in January (We've added quite a few more since then). I finally got around to viewing the comments and taking a look at your wonderfully varied collection. I especially liked your Fog, Clouds, and Cloud Reflections galleries. Keep them coming. Thanks again,
You take some great shots! I wish I had your variety!
You have here a very good collection of shots!! Great compositions with excellent lights and colours. A pleasure for the eyes!
Thanks for your nice comments in my galleries.
Thanks you for yours kind comments about my galleries.
Your pics are marvellous. San Diego gallerie is my favorite with soft colors, great compositions, it's really a great pleasure for eyes.
Hi Charles and thanks for your kind words on my hummngbird gallery. There are more to come from Ecuador!
I enjoyed browsing your galleries--the "exploding tree" shot is killer!
Thanks Charles for the nice comment on my photo of Majic, our black horse. He's interesting because for all of his strength and beauty, he's the Basset Hound of horses at our house. He's the goofiest one of the bunch. By the way, your clouds, lightning strikes and droplets take my breath away. Just beautiful. W. Pencille
Thanks for visiting my photography exercises and for nice comment.
Thanks for visiting my gallery and leaving your kind message. I note that you've been to Beijiing in May. It's been over 20 years since I last went there. I really enjoyed your travelling photos.
Cool!.. Nice work...
Thank you Charles for your opinion.
Hi Charles, I so pleased you liked my galleries, thanks for commenting.
You have some fantastic work here - I love your clouds and trees.
Thanks for the comment on my family portrait sky replacement. These people really needed a sky that wasn't depressing for this portrait especially. I think you probably know the story from the 10D group. Thanks again. Wendi
Thank you very much for commenting on my Glass PaperWeight
Gallery :) That was a lot of fun to discover and create.
Thanks for your kind comments on my galleries, Charles.
Best wishes for you and a very happy new year!
Amazing photo's on your site- especially the lightning - don't get much lightning in the UK. Used to see a lot of electrical storms in South Africa.
Thanks for the comments left. The hedgehogs would appear to be born all pink and spikey, these were a couple of days old when we found them. Their eyes weren't open yet, as they grew older their skin colour turned grey.
Many thanks for your comment on my Neglected gallery. It is very much appreciated. Your astrophotography is, if you'll pardon the pun, out of this world. A spectacular voyage.
Charles, nice galleries. Having lived in Savannah I appreciate your views and the memories that return. Very nice work
I enjoyed my visit to see your work. Your varied galleries demonstrate great skill with both craftsmanship and artistry. I'll be sure to return in the future.
Regarding your comment about the following photo:
The person stood there for only a minute, most folks can stand still that long.
hello charles! i came across all of your pictures, i believe my dad found it all. anyway, i just thought i'd comment and see how you're doing and to say that i'm VERY impressed with the pics...they're pretty awesome! hope to see you soon, with love,
Thank you for your interest in my galleries and for your comments. It is funny you know, what
people are interested in and what they avoid. The image you commented on #37556240 of my
grandfather and the compass is one of my favorites. It was more work than I put into most photos.
But, not many hits. That is way-ok, I don't care. Grandfather and especially Grandmother are my
reason for living and they mean much more than I can explain here. One note though, Grandfather
was a pharmaceutical salesman with a territory in Illinois and Iowa I think. He gave me many things
from his travels including the 1941 Longines-Wittnauer pocket type Air Forces Compass Assembly
I used in the picture, and, the B/W portion of Grandfather was from his wedding day in 1934 in
Waukegan, Illinois. Thanks also for your comment # 38385726. Damn, it took 13 or more to get
that one. It was a demolition on the 5000 block of 4th Street North St. Pete. Thank you very much
again Charles for your positive comments to this amateur.
p.s. I'm perusing your galleries as time permits. thx.
