I am thinking of buying a Pent K5 + 21mm lens. After seeing your work, I am convinced to go in that direction. You really know how to use the equipment to express your sensitively to light and tonal depth.

Tjenare Lars,

Hi Suhas Aher,
Thanks for commenting! Obviosly, most pictures was taken in fairly bright sunlight, the mobile phone camera needs a lot of light to take the best pictures. I also go to great lengths to really try holding the phone steady when taking the picture. It's difficult because it's so small and light. Sometimes and lean against a fence, a wall, or a lamp post to get a little support. In PSPX (Paint Shop Pro X) I use the Curves tool to brighten dark pictures, which unfortunately amplifies the noise that's already there. Then I use the built-in noise reduction tool, if I feel like it (I don't always, sometimes the noise isn't too visible or it actually adds to the mood of the scene). Next, I downsize to 800x600, which actually further does away with some noise and blurr in the original image (before downsizing). Finally, I use the Sharpen tool, which usually yields crispy sharp pictures. By the way, this is the same procedure I use for pictures taken with my DLSR. Sometimes I also experiment with various color related tools before downsizing, if needed - it depends on my subjective impression of the picture as I see it on my screen. Hope this casts some light on the subject.
