AUGUR BUZZARD (Buteo rufofuscus)

DWAK

The Augur Buzzard is probably the most commonly seen bird of prey in Africa. It typically lives in mountainous, hilly areas, and sometimes in open woodland, savannahs and grasslands. These raptors tend to live between 5,000 and 12,000 feet, but have been seen as high as 17,000 feet. They regularly occur higher than any other bird of prey in Africa.
