TRICOLORED HERON (Egretta tricolor)

Myakka River State Park - Sarasota, Florida

This is a medium-sized, slender heron, mostly of the southeastern United States, formerly known as the Louisiana Heron. It is often observed running back-and-forth in the shallows chasing food.
