WHITE IBIS (Eudocimus albus)

Myakka River State Park - Sarasota, Florida

Preferred habitats of this species are freshwater marshes, shallow lakes and estuaries, where crayfish, aquatic insects, grasshoppers, crabs, grass shrimp and small snakes are consumed. Human development and disturbances are responsible for the White Ibis's decline.

Larry- we would like to possibly use your white ibis photo in a nature museum. We would give you credit for the photo. Can you please email me at agrabman@scprt.com? Thanks!

Hi Larry. Fine exposure, dof and reflection on the white Ibis. These birds are really easy to overexpose and this one has not a hot spot anywhere to be found. Nice work. Michael
