GREEN HONEYCREEPER FEMALE (Chlorophanes spiza)

Trinidad - West Indies

Honeycreepers are small members of the tanager family, almost all brightly colored. They move quickly through the upper branches of forest trees in search of nectar and small fruits, supplemented by insects. This specis is common in the northern range of Trinidad, where it is found mainly in the canopy of large forest trees.
