Buffalo

Yellowstone NP

This is the same mother and calf from yesterdays post. Heading out looking for the rest of the herd. This little calf will have stories for his kids when he grows up. I was One hour old and had to walk to the herd over a mile away in a snow storm up hill both ways.

A dramatic image. It is hard to believe it was 80+ when we were there only a few weeks later.

That poor little one, only an hour old and had to fight against the cold weather and keep up with the herd. Larry, that's a great shot and I'm very thankful for your comment below the picture. It even describes the scene you witnessed even more. It looks like it's worth to go down there even when it's snowy. We were actually thinking about it, but the drive from High River, Alberta, Canada would have been to long for a three week vacation, besides the still icy roads. Very well done. V!
