Madaba

Madaba is the capital city of the Madaba Governorate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the fifth largest city in the kingdom.
The city is perhaps best known for the 6th century CE map of the "Holy Land" rendered in mosaic on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Basilica of St. George found there.
All but a couple of the photographs in this album were made in or of the basilica.
