I am fascinated with the human face. What a person has become eventually shows in his or her face. I love wondering what elements of art will show a person’s inner self. I experiment until I find just the right answer. Then I strive to combine the inner self with the outer self into one revealing image. By doing so, we see a dimension of the human condition.
Modern Impressionism, because of its combination of movement and light, has the power to capture more than one dimension. It feels as if there is a portal somewhere amid that movement of light and color that can take the viewer into another world. By seeing these dimensions of humanity, we discover dimensions of ourselves. It helps us see who we are.
I hope these images reflect my positive feelings and hope about humanity.
I would have to say this is one of my favorite series that you do. You have a way of capturing the expressions and emotions so nicely. Once that is done you then seem to choose the perfect title to illustrate the meaning even further. I think "Fairy Secrets" is adorable. I love the expression on this little girl and "Dancer" is just amazing. The background is awesome and I can feel the movement and energy. In "He's Coming" I sense her excitement and it reminds me of my own moments of anticipation. Amazing work--Nan

First born, the picture of a thousand words. If you could imagine that picture comming to life the little girl would be sounding out her first words from a childrens book. How amazing.
