Pulling into Gustavia
We loved our little cottage, especially the patio!
Part of the view from our patio. Lots of time was spent watching the planes land at the tiny airport.
Our Smart car, which broke down 15 minutes after we picked it up. We had to push it into this spot - it died in the middle of the street!
More of the view from the terrace. Airport is to the left.
Out to dinner at Le Sapotillier. So yummy!
Not the kind of thong action the husband was hoping to see ;)
Whoa!
Thanks to John's command of French we ended up with six cheeseburgers and six orders of fries. Yum yum.
Le Select is the originator of the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" - apparently used to be co-owned by Jimmy Buffet.
Jenny was so excited to see all of these non-US brands she studied in business school!
Downtown Gustavia, filled with fancy stores.
St. Barts used to be owned by the Swedes, hence the double signage, ala St. Martin.
Once again, John's awesome French got us a super-sized tartine...
Above Gustavia
Beautiful Grande Saline beach
Traffic in St. Jean
World's smallest cement truck
The Smart car replacement. A better choice once we started driving around - the roads were very scary!
Handicrafts in Corrosol
Rocky beach on the backside of the island (Atlantic facing)
