Images of favourite places around the area where I live and work. This area has some unusual characteristics: it is on the very outer fringes of Sydney's suburban sprawl, but the centres of population include old country towns rather than suburbs. More self-sufficient than suburbs: I can get my camera fixed, or my computer or washing machine or spectacles, all within short walking distance. But I can also walk to a quiet stretch of water with ducks and pelicans and a quiet place to sit down and watch it all (or take photographs). And if I want more extreme quiet, there is wilderness enough to get seriously lost in, within a twenty minute drive from home.
