There are serious adventurous bushwalks in the mountains an hour or two from Sydney — places where you are advised not to go without maps, a compass, an EPIRB and companions. But there are also bushwalks within the suburbs, less adventurous, but with almost as much appeal, even when you can still hear traffic noise. This, I imagine, makes Sydney quite unusual. These galleries document some of the walks I have done at different times since about 1993, all within the area covered by Sydney street directories. The slideshow presents a selection; click on an image in the slideshow to get details about the particular image showing. Most are geotagged.
