This is a new zoo on the western outskirts of Sydney. The name – "Sydney Zoo" – caused some concern at first, because for most
Sydneysiders "Sydney Zoo" means Taronga Park Zoo on Sydney Harbour. The new zoo doesn't have the magnificent setting of
Taronga Park, or the long tradition, and if you don't have a car, getting there may be a problem. But it puts less strain
on 89-year-old legs, and the animals weren't complaining. Even if you disapprove of zoos, this place is worth a visit
