We stayed at Bloomers B&B (bed and brunch) which I had picked because of its recommendations in Lonely Planet and Tripadvisor, recommendations I now enthusiastically endorse. Slightly quirky, clean and comfortable room, good internet connection, good bathroom (see pic), great breakfasts, wonderfully helpful Connie and an easy walk to the main square where there are shops, restaurants and museums of several persuasions.
Other advice:
............. 1. You won't find the post office where Lonely Planet says it is. It's a block further south, their map is wrong.
..............2. And it closes for two hours in the middle of the day. Like many things in Argentina.
..............3. The "Tren a las Nubes" doesn't operate in the rainy season (like when we were there).
..............4. But the bus trip to Cachi is probably a better choice. (See separate gallery.)
