Nurragingy

I had put my boots on to do a more serious bushwalk, but discovered that Nurragingy is more for just walking about in. A surprising and lovely place for doing that. 90 hectares with a bit of bush, man-made lakes and a very man-made waterfall, picnic areas, a function centre (not open today), lots of warning signs in large letters (the visitors are assumed to have vision defects), bird life, and (perhaps because it was Tuesday) only a few people about quietly enjoying a late winter sunny day. Surrounded by busy roads, a railway line, industrial land and very ordinary suburbs, it was still quiet.
