Melbourne Luna Park St Kilda

My fear of heights started here on the Scenic Railway.
It was Boxing Day. My father & his brother went to the test match at the M.C.G.
My mother, aunt & cousin went to Luna Park. I was 9 yrs of age. I was terrified :>)

This is such an interesting building and an excellent capture of it Laine.
petesie19-Mar-2007 12:02
I have always loved roller coasters....but I'd be afraid to walk through that mouth. It looks sinister.
Guest 19-Mar-2007 11:03

Nice shot, last time we tried to check it out it was closed. vote.

Nice shot, Laine. I'm sure your unfortunate experience has been shared by many.

LOL...a rather empty luna park. the mighty mouse on those OLD tracks would definitely be a hair raiser!!

Well to start with that face is pretty scary!

Interesting to be able to relate your fear with that. I don't go on these stuff either.
s_barbour19-Mar-2007 02:13
I'm certainly with you on this one, I am terrified of roller coasters too!
It does have a fun look to it though.

Love the colors in this shot.

And I can empathize, my fear of heights was created in a similar manner, just on a different rollercoaster.

That's quite an entry way! Wonderful capture!
Yvonne19-Mar-2007 00:29
No, you wouldn't have got me in there either as a child!
Guest 18-Mar-2007 23:22
That is some scarey entrance for any child,Laine!
Craig Persel18-Mar-2007 23:19
Wonderful image.
Breland18-Mar-2007 23:00
The entrance does look rather spooky Laine. Did you ride it?
Cindi Smith18-Mar-2007 22:49
Walking into that mouth doesn't help either. I still hate roller coasters to this day! Cool amuzement park but I think I'll stay outside.
Dave Wixx18-Mar-2007 22:04
That entrance doesn't help if you're starting it with a fear!!
Renee Lockett18-Mar-2007 20:41
yikes. :) That mouth entrance is spooky. I share in your dislike of heights. :)
Carole Stevens18-Mar-2007 20:22
Going into a giant mouth that would have scared me too as a child!
Jay Levin18-Mar-2007 18:55
